Easy Two Ingredient Spicy Wraps – Winter Series 


Winter mornings can be quite a hassle. Don’t you agree? If there’s one thing I hate about winter is waking up when its still dark outside, especially getting up extra early to make breakfast. Thie recipe I’m going to share with you today is for a really  easy two ingredient wrap that you can make for breakfast or whenever you are hungry. Perfect for the lazy cook! It is so light and won’t make you feel heavy. The best part is that it is so yummy and you wont take more than 10 mins or so to make it. You can also customize the fillings, to mix things up I like adding some avocado, lettuce and mushrooms. My husband loves these wraps, he will have them at any time of the day, no joke! This is a very freezer friendly recipe too which is an added bonus. You can make these stress-free wraps and store it for later.

I’ve also added my recipe for tortillas which you will need to make the rolls. You can make the tortilla dough and store it in the refrigerator for up to a week.

RECIPE : TWO INGREDIENT SPICY WRAPS (NOT GLUTEN FREE)

For the tortillas (The recipe can be halved easily)

  • 3 cups of all purpose flour ( you can make it more healthy by using tapioca flour or wheat flour)
  • 1 tsp baking podwer
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt

For the fillings ( makes filling enough for 4 wraps)

  • 1 carrot ( chopped)
  • 1 onion
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder (add according to taste)
  • salt
  • 2 eggs

Mix all the dry ingredients for the tortilla


Add the wet ingredients and mix until they all come together and from a  soft dough.


Separate the dough into small balls and roll them into a tortilla. To get the perfect wrap you need to roll it out real thin. Look at my flawless tortilla! Just kidding , I totally cheated and cut it out to get the precise round shape.


Chop and set aside the two main ingredients required to make the filling. You can customize and add other things as well but these two alone are really good and healthy !


Suatee the onions. You don’t have to completely cook them. It is yummier when its crunchy.


Add the carrots and cook them. Keep the carrots crunchy too , you dont have to cook them through. It is more healthier this way! Sprinkle in some salt at this stage.


Add the turmeric and chilli powder. I like adding the turmeric because it is an antiseptic and its really good for your throat and tummy.


Once your spices are mixed in thoroughly , add the eggs and reduce the flame and whisk them to make a scramble. For a fluffy scramble , once they start cooking , remove from the flame and whisk them. Salt the eggs.


And thats it , the filling is done. Easy peasy but so delicious!


Now all you have to do is add the filling to the tortilla and roll it ! I add some chopped cucumber too!

Serve it hot hot. To make things better serve it with a hot cup of cocoa or your favourite milkshake and some whipped cream !
