DIY Avo-Banana Hair mask – Winter series

“I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape—the loneliness of it—the dead feeling of winter.  Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn’t show.”

Andrew Wyeth

I have curly frizzy devil like hair. Hair is a very sensitive topic for me. I’m not usually a butt-hurt person but when it comes to my hair……………… And that’s why I usually do not give advice on hair since I feel like I don’t have perfect hair myself.  Over the years, I had trained myself to think that hair is not really important and we shouldn’t be bothering much about it. I called it self- acceptance but deep down I knew I was dealing with something more. We have all been through that phase right? When something is not working for you, we put it on the backseat and ignore it hoping it would go away. Unfortunately, your hair is not going to go away. It’s a part of your body just like your skin, your nails etc. But it was so hard to accept my curly hair. Curly haired beauties do you understand what I’m saying?

I have learnt it the hard way that, ignoring is only going to make matters worse and that self-acceptance is really about working with what you have, not hate it! As with skin care, I do not believe that chemicals or using a lot of products will help. So I’ve decided to share this really great and versatile hair mask with you all. This is my go to mask. Its works great, really easy to put together and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Winter is many things beautiful but it also comes with its own set of problems. When the moisture levels in the air falls, your hair can tend to become extremely dry and fragile and even feel a little like straw. This is especially true for curly-haired girls, since wound hair is drier by nature. Even those with perfect slick hair can experience dry hair.In this hair mask , the two main ingredients are avocado and banana. Banana adds plenty of moisture and shine into your dull lifeless tresses. It also contains antioxidants, vitamin C and other goodies that are great for your hair. Avocados make your hair all glossy and healthy. Together with the other ingredients like honey and apple cider , this hair mask gives your hair a really good conditioning , volume and growth. I had apple cider because it cleanses the hair and removes any dirt buildup. This mask is so great , you can use it on your face too. Can be used on all hair types.

 Hope the video is helpful!
