Chewy & Fudgy Brownie

A brownie a day keeps the frownies away! Yes I absolutely agree. I love brownies. It is my favorite way of having chocolate. I simply love the chewy fudgy taste. Before the beginning of this year, I’ve never tried making brownies from scratch. I would just go out and buy the ready-made mix. They are pretty good, so I never felt the need to make them at home.

Recently, I have been incredibly concerned with what ingredients go into these ready-made stuff. I do not like the idea of consuming something in which I’m not sure of the components that go into . When you see those intricate words on the ingredients list, just put it back on the shelf and walk away. I thought to myself that it’s just a brownie how hard could it be to make but I was wrong. I never really felt  satisfied with the brownie recipes on the internet. My experiments were tragedies. I have tried so many recipes but none gave me the chewy and fudgy-ness of the ready-made mix ones, all I got was either flat, rock hard brownies with no flaking on the top or plain old cake like brownies. Both were not the desired qualities for the perfect brownie. So gradually I found myself levitating towards the box brownies.

One day, I had a sudden longing for brownies and there was no brownie mix at home. I was frantic so I thought why not derive my own recipe from the ABCs I know about brownie making. Im proud to say that it worked. You cannot go wrong with this recipe. It is so easy to make and doesn’t require a lot of materials. The outcome is the most magical tasting brownies ever.

To get a fudgy and chewy brownie, you will need to increase the amount of fat in the ingredients that is your chocolate and butter. And decrease the amount of flour you put in. This recipe is based on this basic fact.

Add the light brown sugar to the mix. Whisk until incorporat well.

Sift the all purpose flour , baking powder and salt together. Add it to the chocolate mix and mix nicely. Transfer to the buttered baking dish and refrigerate it for 20 mins.
